Boating courses are organized in SPV member clubs. Register for this course through the club. You will receive a course key from your instructor.
The boating course provides the skills for controlled and independent training and gaining experience in sheltered water areas in good conditions. The course guides you on how to handle the boat both on docks and on fairways. The course teaches the most essential knowledge and skills, both in terms of rules and navigation, which are needed for moving in sheltered waters and in the outer archipelago. In the course, you will also learn things related to boat safety, weather and sea rules. In addition, the course includes the basics of boat systems. The theory part is practical. Practicing on the water emphasizes the ability to match the landscape and the sea chart.
